Our Manifesto...
We are interested in how circus represents a wider cultural metaphor for establishing dominance over the human body and the environment around us (defying gravity, controlling objects) and how perhaps that metaphor needs to be updated in favour of compassion towards ourselves and everything that surrounds us.
As circus performers, creators and researchers we aim to challenge our relationships with;
-Our equipment
-Our success
-Our audience
And propose a new experimental approach to circus which.....
-Collaborates with inanimate objects
-Sees value in imperfection
-Reaches and connects new audiences
-Asks for help from the audience
